Hi @LeapingLen,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop screen is flickering, there are a few potential causes and solutions you can try.

  • Update your graphics driver: A common cause of screen flickering is an outdated or faulty graphics driver. Try updating your graphics driver to the latest version from the HP website or the manufacturer's website.
  • Adjust screen refresh rate: Your laptop screen may be flickering due to a refresh rate that is set too high or too low. Adjust the refresh rate in the display settings to see if it improves the issue.
  • Check for malware: Sometimes, malware can cause your screen to flicker. Run a virus scan using your antivirus software and remove any threats that are found.
  • Disable hardware acceleration: Hardware acceleration can cause issues with certain graphics cards. To disable hardware acceleration, go to the graphics settings in your web browser or other applications and turn off hardware acceleration.
  • Check the cables: Make sure all cables connected to your laptop are properly connected and not damaged. Sometimes, a loose or damaged cable can cause screen flickering.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
