HP M24 Webcam Monitor
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have recently purchased the HP 24 Webcam monitor to use with my HP Pavilion laptop.

I have connected it via Displaylink to my laptgop.  Problem is when I go to Teams or Zoom, it uses my laptop camera.  When I try to go to settings to choose my HP moinitor, it isnt an option for me to select.

I've downloaded the HP display centre and the monitor is detected on there.

I am at an asbolute loss.

Anybody able to help/support with this? much appreciated

I have the same issue with the webcam not being detected, and also the microphone is not detected (only the speaker). I'm using a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5, which allows me to connect to the monitor with the HDMI cable. When going to the Display Center, it says that the camera shutter is closed, but it is actually open on the monitor.

Should the HDMI cable be capable of detecting the webcam and microphone?

Update: I discovered that I had to use the HDMI and Usb-C cables simultaneously to get the camera and microphone to detect properly. I'm guessing it may be because the Ideapad Flex 5 does not support Usb-c for video display, but it was necessary to have the USB-c plugged in for data transfer purposes. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me can chime in to explain with more detail/precision why this works.

To the original poster NP2483, I wonder if it would work if you try simultaneously plugging in via the USB-c cable (given that your system has it) and the display port cable .
