How do I identify the touch screen parts on the motherboard: touch screen controller, touch screen sensor.....

 

Touch screen is not working in the BIOS and it is not present in Device Manager. The computer has a touch screen

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

 

Please update the BIOS from this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

 

Also run the Touch screen test from F2 Diagnostic

Thank you for responding.

I upgraded the BIOS. There is no test for touchscreen when going to the diagnostics screen. It looks like the touch screen is not present. It does not work in BIOS. Also on the HP page for 15-AY041WM (TOUCH) there is no driver for touch screen.

Thank you for the update.

 

If the touchscreen is not working in the BIOS screen as well then it may be a hardware issue.

 

I recommend you contact support to check the available service options for your computer.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
