My laptop HDMI port suddenly stopped displaying to the external monitor. Still works on the small screen, but no display. Can the HDMI port be replaced, or do I have to get a new laptop?

Downloaded and installed all of the drivers listed above in the order you specified. No change, the HDMI out is still not working?

What's next?

Ran every test on the panel, everything passed. Still no HDMI output to my external monitor. What's next?

Hello @argenthrus

Does <external montor> work with another computer using HDMI cable ?

HP Recommended

Yes, I have 2 laptops connected to a TESmart  KVM switch and an ASUS monitor. I can switch the cables on the laptops and everything works as expected. The keyboard and mouse work on this laptop, just no picture. Until a week before my first post on this forum, the system had been working flawlessly for over a year.

Hello @argenthrus

I suspect the HDMI socket is broken on at least one solder point to motherboard or is damaged internally.

Kind regards
