Computer sees the projector but will not connect. Followed all the steps to connect but Epson projector does not recognize the computer.

I recommend you to contact phone support to further diagnose the issue.

 

Follow below steps to contact phone support.

 

Open link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
Enter Product number or select to auto detects
Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get phone number.

Thanks for helping me.

 

I do not seem to have an Advanced Display Settings option on my Display Settings dialog box. And when I select Detect the response is Didn't detect another display.

Connected using USB cable or HDMI cable.

I recommend you to go projector menu and then input control and select input/source as HDMI and check if it helps.

I have done what you suggested with both the usb cable and the hdmi cable. Still will not connect. The projector does recognize which connection I am using, but will not display the desktop. 

 

Sorry. I know this does not help. I can use the projector with both cables on a computer that is using Windows 7 OS. Connects and works just fine.
