HP Notebook 15-dy1043dx

I have a Thunderbolt 2 docking station and my HP Notebook 15-dy1043dx is not recognizing it. I've downloaded the drivers and restarted with the Thunderbolt plugged in. Any suggestions to have my laptop recognize the docking station?

Its specs

           https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06655539

It ONLY has a hopeless USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port which is NOT a Thunderbolt port.

Regards.

The HP Notebook 15-dy1043dx does not support Thunderbolt technology, therefore it will not recognize Thunderbolt 2 docking stations.
