Hi @chisa945,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the HP Omen Command Center after a reboot. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the problem.

Uninstall and Reinstall HP Omen Command Center

Uninstall the Current Version:

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Navigate to Programs and Features.
  • Find HP Omen Command Center, right-click on it, and select Uninstall.

Reinstall the HP Omen Command Center:

  • Visit the HP Omen Command Center download page.
  • Enter your laptop model (e.g., HP Omen 15) and look for the Software and Drivers section.
  • Download the latest version of the HP Omen Command Center and install it.

Update Drivers

Update System BIOS and Firmware:

  • Go to the same HP support page and look for BIOS and firmware updates for your specific model.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS update.

Update Keyboard and System Drivers:

  • On the HP support page, find and download the latest drivers for your keyboard and other relevant components.
  • Install these drivers and restart your computer.

Ensure HP Services are Running

  1. Check HP Services:
    • Press Win + R to open the Run dialog, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Look for services related to HP, such as HP Omen HSA Service and HP System Event Utility.
    • Make sure these services are running. If not, right-click and select Start.

Reconfigure HP Omen Command Center

  1. Reconfigure Settings:
    • Open the HP Omen Command Center after reinstalling.
    • Go to the Lighting section and reconfigure your keyboard lighting settings.
    • Check other functionalities like fan speed and key mapping to ensure they are working properly.

Use HP Support Assistant

  1. Run HP Support Assistant:
    • If not already installed, download and install HP Support Assistant.
    • Open the program and run a check for updates and diagnostics.
    • This tool can automatically detect and resolve some issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to restore the functionality of your HP Omen Command Center and regain control over your keyboard lighting and other features.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
