I'm trying to connect two external displays to my HP Omen, one through the existing HDMI port and one with the HDMI cable connected to the USB C port with an adapter.

However, when i goto settings and try to select extend to the 3rd screen from the multiple displays drop down, i get this error message:

"the display settings could not be saved. please try an different combination of display settings"

The 3rd display then auto defaults to disconnect this display in the dropdown.

Any suggestions on how to have all 3 monitors displaying different windows?   or is this not possible?

I've tried connecting via USB and the USB-c port to hdmi with adapters, but neither works. Neither option allows me to extend to the second monitor.

Any other suggestions?
