This comment comes after one of my previous comments went unaddressed by "Hawks_Eye" on 9/29/2025 - he told me someone would reach out to me in 2-4 business days, but it has been months and no one has reached out to me. The below text is from my original post. I will be going to Apple from here on out from my laptops. Very disappointed in HP.
"I'd like to file a complaint regarding my HP Omen. I contact support a few months after purchasing it due to a suspected GPU issue and they requested I send it in. I wasn't able to send it in due to needing my laptop for work. Since then, the same problem has persisted. I called HP support who were not helpful as it was out of warranty. Since I bought the laptop, the hinges have broken and I now cannot close my laptop. I regret buying this expensive laptop and I think I will be buying only apple laptops from now on (after having bought HP-only laptops for the last 12+ years)"

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
My sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you. We'd hate for you to be stuck in a situation like this. Because you matter to us.
I hear the disappointment in your words, and I’m truly sorry you’ve had to go through this after being loyal to HP for so many years. I want to make sure I fully understand the situation before we talk about possible directions forward.
Could you help me with a few clarifications so I can isolate the issue more precisely:
- When you first noticed the GPU problem, what kind of symptoms did you see—was it performance drops, display glitches, or system crashes?
- Regarding the hinges, did they gradually loosen over time or was there a sudden break?
- Have you been able to run any diagnostics on the GPU or system since then, either through HP tools or Windows?
- Is the laptop still powering on and usable with an external display and mouse, or has the hinge damage made it unsafe to use?
- Finally, are you currently using the device daily for work, or has it become more of a backup system?
These details will help me understand whether we’re dealing with separate hardware issues (GPU and hinge) or if they’re connected, and whether the system is still functional enough for troubleshooting versus requiring a more direct resolution.
We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!
Regards,
Hawks_Eye
