HP Pavilion - 15-cs3076nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looks HP support is very confused on their hardware specs: Does anyone know which version of the HDMI the HP Pavilion 15 CS3076ln has and the maximum supported resolution on that?

(outdated) Maintenance manual seems to say HDMI 2.0 with 4k resolution supported on "selected products"....which one? (since is not specified anywhere on HP product specifications....): http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06248419

Unfortunately I do not have a 4k monitor to try, but I want to avoid to buy one just to discover how HP is no able to know their own products.

Thanks!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know the maximum supported resolution of the HDMI port.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I see that your computer has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics cards and it supports display resolution up to 7680x4320@60Hz2.

Below are the port specifications.

DP 1.43, HDMI 2.0b, Dual Link-DVI

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Hello, thanks for your message.

It's correct, the dedicated graphic chipset is the Nvidia Geforce 1050 (with MaxQ). However, I did not find any information (or better, not clear information either from the HP call center) about the HDMI version. Can I ask you where you found that info?

Also, I don't have any DisplayPort on my notebook (since USB C is for data only looks like....) but only an HDMI port.

The information that I have shared is from an HP internal tool.
