Been running Windows 11 on a HP Pavilion - 14-ce3501na, product code 8FH65EA, for a few months but it now has a blank screen when it boots up, following a recent Windows update.
None of the Ctrl+Alt+ etc. suggestions online have worked, can hear the processor fan running but nothing else happens, no beeps or lights on Caps lock etc.
Can anyone suggest how to fix this? Laptop is only just over 2 years old and had no problems up to now.
Thanks, Andy

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
- Have you updated the Graphics and Chipset drivers?
- Have you checked the display on an external monitor?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
- Hard Reset: Follow the steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8. (Refer to the removable and sealed battery)
- BIOS default: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps even if you feel steps are repeating)
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
- Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked to Exit Saving Changes?
Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
And, also refer to the article- HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01997899, No Power or no Boot By the end of the article you will be able to isolate the issue.
Workaround:
Restart the Graphics driver with Windows+CTRL+Shift+B Shortcut. Press the‘ Windows+CTRL+Shift+B’ shortcut to wake up the PC/Laptop display. There could be a problem with Windows OS where it might not be able to detect the display. Pressing this shortcut key restarts the graphics driver in Windows.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks for the suggestions, however I’ve tried these and also contacted HP technical support, but the laptop still does not work.
HP are quoting over £400 for a repair, which is a crazy price. Have you any other suggestions, as I’ve nearly run out of options apart from buy a new one?? Very disappointed that this laptop has only lasted 2 yrs?!
thanks,
Andy
