Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

According to the product specification page for my 15-cw0509sa the USB C port supports displayport:

https://support.hp.com..........

However both the user manual and maintenance guide only mention data transfer for this port.  And after purchasing and plugging in a displayport adaptor (before I'd spotted this discrepacy between the specification page an manuals) I think it may well be just for data transfer.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case please?

Many Thanks

Sam

Hello @S-Cox,

Excellent observation.

I'll ask this internally and see what they say.

In addition to what you just said, normally these newer Maintenance and Service Guides offer a whole list of accessory options in the Miscellaneous section but for USB-C connectivity, they only offer a USB-C to USB-A adapter which is extremely suspicious.

I'll follow up with you soon.

Best regards,

Eddy

Hello @S-Cox,

Just returned with the unfortunate news that the USB-C port is indeed data transfer only.

HP's working on updating the specification documents ASAP.

Thanks for bringing this up.

All the best,

Eddy
