I am driving to set up my laptop with an HP USBC Dock G5. The hardwired network and USB for mouse and keyboard work fine. The display and power charging do not. I have tried the docking station with another laptop and all is good. I have also tried a new Dell dock with this same laptop with the same results. Any ideas?

The HP USB-C G5 dock is NOT compatible with your machine
Your machine ONLY has 1 hopeless USB Type-C port; USB 3.1 Gen 1 (left side); supports data transfer port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
