Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!

Pavillion 360

I have had this computer for just over a year and a half. It has never been dropped or had any other physical damage, but a few months ago the screen started popping out of the bottom right side of the frame out of nowhere. At that point I stopped closing the computer to preserve the screen as much as possible, but now the display is being affected, and it blacks out every few seconds, making it impossible to work. And this issue functionally removes one of the major reasons I went with this model, the 360 screen rotation, which is functionally inaccessible.

This clearly seems like a faulty manufacturing issue. So many users have posted about the exact same problem. Has HP stepped up to replace these screens as they should, or is there way to get them repaired elsewhere? Frankly at this point there should be a recall on the model.

HP has no intention of fixing this issue for anyone, despite issuing this entire line of machines with the same faulty screen, they are trying to charge over half the cost of the laptop to repair it. Never buying an HP again if the quality is proven to be this shoddy.
