Hi
I owned an HP - Pavilion I5 Model 15-CX0027Ni Gaming laptop which is just over a year old.
PC processor is a Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8300H CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz
Ram installed-8,00 GB
Window 10 64 bit Software
256GB SSD
1TB HDD
Within the last week, i noticed that Fornite is lagging a lot and the ping is very unable. It will be in the 100ms and then shoot up to 200, 300, 500, 800ms and then back to the 100ms range regardless of the EPIC server I am using. Even if I am playing a squad match, I am the only person that is lagging so the Epic server issues can be ruled out.
I am currently using a 100mbps upload and 100mbps download fiber line which has a 1-1 connection and is connected to my laptop via an ethernet cable. My ISP has logged into my P.C remotely and performed various latency tests and has ruled out the fiber as an issue. I have also updated the latest Nvidia driver of Version 512.15 which was released on 22/03/2022.
So up to date, it cannot be the EPIC servers nor the Internet connectivity/speed. I feel there might be an issue with the laptop hardware or software.
Any advice?

Hi @Samesh01
Welcome to the HP Support Community. From what I have understood, your system is lagging while playing Fortnite.
Please note that we have limited support when it comes to third-party applications.
Could you please let me know if it happens only while playing Fortnite on your system?
May I know if other applications work fine on your system?
Also, please run the hardware scan to check if there are any hardware issues. Here is a link that will help.
Let me know the outcome of it.
Thanks!

HI Nirvana
I trust you are well.
I ran the above test and all the components passed. My higher graphic games are still lagging.
Is there a way to test the full functionality of the GTX 1050 onboard graphic card functionality or my Ethernet port on the laptop?

Thanks for your response, @Samesh01
We do not have an option to test the graphics card here. Since it is an issue with the games, our support will be very limited here. I would suggest you contact Fortnite support, and they will be able to assist you further.
