@GeorgeEdwinIXX, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Pavilion Laptop model 16-af0015nn

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Pavilion Laptop model 16-af0015nn is supposed to support HDR certification but isn't displaying HDR options in Windows 11, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Verify Display Settings

Check Display Connection: Ensure that your external display connection, if any, uses a compatible cable (like HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.4) that supports HDR.

Enable HDR:

  • Go to Settings > System > Display.
  • Look for the HDR section and enable it if it's available.

Update Graphics Drivers

  1. Update Drivers:
    • Open Device Manager.
    • Locate Display adapters, right-click on your graphics adapter, and select Update driver.
    • Alternatively, visit the official HP support page to download the latest graphics drivers for your model.

Confirm Windows 11 HDR Settings

  • Check that Windows 11 can detect HDR content correctly by ensuring Use HDR is enabled in Display settings.

Firmware or BIOS Update

  1. Check for BIOS Updates:
    • Go to HP’s support site, enter your laptop model, and see if there's a new BIOS update or firmware that might improve HDR support.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
