I wish to connect two external monitors to this laptop. There is one HDMI port, two USB-A ports, and 1 USB-C port.

HP Pavilion X360 Convertible 14-dh1xxx

I have read that a USB-C to HDMI cable does not work.

I have read replies from an "HP Expert" that plugging a docking station into the laptop using a USB-A port does work.

Can anyone tell me WHICH docking station to purchase?  I am in Australia, so choices are somewhat limited locally, but I am happy to order from OS.

Is there any other alternatives to a docking station?

Many thanks in advance...

What is your 14-dh1xxx ? It should have same ports as the following machine:

          HP Pavilion x360 - 14-dh1178tu

It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

For more connectivity, please use

                         True Universal Docking Stations

Regards.
