Hi All
So I have the, what I seems to be all to common issue of ghost touching on my X360 13" screen (Model: 13-u151TU ) - no stylus involved. I have tried to get a repair reviewed but the IT guys can never understand what the issue is over the phone.
So the question is
1. is there a thread here from the few dozen ive read that has an answer to how i can fix it myself whether it be through download or update of new firmware (note i have done everything the annoying HP chat bot has asked) so turning on and off is not the issue.
2. Is there a fix i can get through an IT repair company thats straight forward like a new screen or somthing.
Any help is great as i just want my touch function back, currently its switched off.
Note i am in london so any great reapair places to go to or HP repair places would also be welcome.
thanks
TY

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Flower_Bud is at your service.
As I understand, you're having issues with the touchscreen,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
When was the last time it worked fine?
Were there any hardware/software changes made?
Let's run a hardware test for touchscreen:
Perform HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tests to detect problems with the touchscreen hardware.
Plug the AC adapter into the computer.
Press the Power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
Turn on the computer and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly, about once every second.
When the HP PC Hardware Diagnostic screen displays, click Component Tests.
Click Touch Screen.
There are two interactive touch screen hardware tests. Start by clicking Touch Pointer Test.
Read the on-screen instructions, and then click Run once.
Touch each of the blocks on the screen to erase them. The test ends after all blocks are erased or after three minutes have passed, and the results display.
Click Main menu to return to the main screen, and then run the second touch screen test.
Click Component Tests, and then click Touch Screen.
Click Drag And Drop Test.
Read the on-screen instructions, and then click Run once.
Drag each orange rectangle to the box indicated by the arrows with a finger or a stylus. The rectangle changes to blue when positioned in the correct box.
The test ends after all blocks are repositioned or after three minutes have passed, and the results display.
Let me know the results,
Cheers!
NOTE: If you have already performed the test, you need not repeat the test.

Hi @Flower_bud
As i mentioned i have completed all the test asked to be completed by the chat function on the HP website which includes testing if the touch screen works. note it works however the issue is there is ghost touching constantly happening which means i cannot control the clicking when the touch screen is active.
This issue has, from what ive seen, been around for over 12 months and i cannot find a solution except for sending it in for warranty repair which i do not have available so i need assitance in finding out if i can fix it through and external IT company or through a firmware update.
