Hi,

 

I own an HP Pavilion dv6-6090ee. The webcam was working fine when I bought it, but I haven't used it for a long time. Now I need it for my online classes and exams, but it is not detected in Device Manager and doesn't work!

 

Here are the methods I tried that didn't solve the problem:

1- Checking and reconnecting the cables on the board and behind the screen bezel.

2- Installing a fresh operating system. I have tried the latest versions of both Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

3- Installing the top driver software and scanning and updating the drivers.

4- Installing the drivers manually, even with signature enforcement disabled.

5- Installing many webcam software, including the old and new versions of CyberLink YouCam.

6- Updating BIOS to the latest version and checking all the settings.

 

Please let me know what the problem is and how to fix it. I appreciate your comments and help with this issue.
