ExampHP Pavilion g6-1141slle: Pavilion 65XX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I own the HP Pavilion g6-1141sl  laptop.

My O.S. is Windows 10 pro 64 bit

My AMD video card does't work on Windows 10 64 bit because the latest videocard driver avaible on Hp for this laptop are compatible only with Windows 8 64 bit.

I have contacted AMD and suggest me to download the drivers from the following link:   https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-hd/amd-radeon-hd-7000m-series/amd-radeon-hd-7490m

How I can solve my problem?

Thanks in advanced

I see the link but my proble is that I can't install Catalyst Control Center.

Neither using the one supplied by HP - sp59147 neither the one supplied by AMD  - whql-win8.1-win7-catalyst-15.7.1-oct30 or non-whql-win8.1-win7-radeon-software-crimson-relive-16.2.1-sep20.

So I ask again what I have to do?

@Staibuz,

I see that there are no drivers available from HP for Windows 10 for your computer. However, I recommend you download and install the HP support assistant from the below link and it will automatically download and install all the latest drivers available for your computer.

Here is how it is done.

Download link: https://www8.hp.com/in/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_in/en/any/psg/p...

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

  6. Perform any other update management actions as needed.

    • Postpone an update: Click Remind me, and then select a time preference.

    • Delete an available update: Click the Delete icon  to remove the update from the list and record it in the action log.

    • Review updates status: Click Action log below the list to view installed, postponed, or deleted updates.

Cheers!

As you suggest I have downloaded and istalled HP support assistant, result no updated/drivers available.

I have also clean up all with DDU e AMD Unistaller and istall the sp59147 (The last driver provided by Hp for HP Pavilion g6-1141s compatibile with Windows 8 64 bit) , either in safe mode either in normal mode and also in compatibility mode for Windows 8 and run as administrator, the result is a partial installation of the CCC - nothing about the driver.

The Device Manager view the video card as a Generic Microsoft Card.

Then I tryed to install the whql-win8.1-win7-catalyst-15.7.1-oct30 (driver provided by AMD for Windows 10), either in safe mode either in normal mode and also in compatibility mode for Windows 8 and run as administrator, the result is the same mentioned above.

I tryed to install also the non-whql-win8.1-win7-radeon-software-crimson-relive-16.2.1-sep20  in same mode mentioned above(the latest driver provided by AMD for Windows 10 64 bit), the result is that it not can be istalled due imcompatibility.

I have also asked directly to AMD for a solution  but none of their suggested solution as worked.

Here i can find all the report I have found https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eEnkaq1_qftHcR08yMTYPNIOoWGfkkLH

If you need other report ask please

So what the next step?

Cheers

@Staibuz,

Perfect, I am glad to hear that the issue is resolved.

As informed earlier there are no drivers for Windows 10 from HP. You need to wait for the Windows driver updates for your computer.

Cheers!
