Pavillion x360 Conv 14-dy0xxx

The touchpad for my HP Pavilion x360 Conv 14-dy0xxx isn't working.

OS = Windows 11 22H2 (Build 22621.3085)

In the device manager there is an "I2C HID-device" with the following hardware ID:

 hardwareidhardwareid

I tried to install the "ELAN Precision TouchPad" from the official website (https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/hp-pavilion-x360-14-convertible-pc-14-dy0000/model/2100286066?s...) but after starting the install wizard I get an error that the driver is not compatible with the OS.

I tried installing the device d river manually whic hwasn't successful either.

The touchpad doesn't work in the BIOS either.

Since there are no other replies this may be helpful in the future...

1. Trying to install the drivers provided by HP doesn't work at all. At least for the installation wizard, there are multiple drivers (including the one for the touchpad) that throw an "operating system incompatibility" error when trying to install - for Win10 and Win11.

Can't assure that they actually get installed when doing so manually via device manager.

2. Did a clean install of Win11 - >tried HP drivers -> didn't fix it; tried windows updates -> didn't fit it

3. Did a clean install of Win10 -> tried HP drivers -> didn't fix it; tried windows updates -> it's finally working again.

Don't know exactly why Win11 updates don't provide needed drivers, at least in my case it's working again now.
