HP ENVY x360 13 Convertible PC (231N6AV)

Hi guys,

 

I have a HP ENVY x360 Convert 13-ay0565ng and a HP Pen (One without bluetooth and not rechargable, product number 1MR94AA). For over 3 years, I didn't have any problems until now, when my pen stopped working. The touchscreen works fine, only the pen is not recognized. I changed batteries, restarted the PC and also tried updating the drivers. However, I am unsure if I even found the right drivers, as I got the message that the driver I selected is not supported for my system. I have Windows 10 Version 22H2, which I also cannot select on the HP website when looking for drivers specifically for my type of PC.

 

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this or at least how to find the right drivers? Thanks a lot!

Here are a few additional steps you could try.

 

  • Check Compatibility: Ensure that your HP Pen is indeed compatible with your HP ENVY x360 Convertible 13-ay0xxx model. While it has worked previously, it's worth verifying compatibility just to be sure.
  • Check Battery Orientation: Double-check that the batteries are inserted correctly into the pen. Sometimes, incorrect orientation can cause connectivity issues.
  • Check Pen Connection: If your pen has a removable nib, make sure it's securely attached. Loose or damaged nibs can interfere with the pen's functionality.
  • Re-Pair the Pen: Even though your pen doesn't have Bluetooth, there might still be a pairing process required. Try re-pairing the pen with your laptop. Usually, this involves pressing a button on the pen or following specific steps outlined in the user manual.
  • Update Firmware (if applicable): Some pens have firmware that can be updated to improve compatibility and performance. Check if there's a firmware update available for your HP Pen.
