Hi everyone, Im facing an issue that is most likely unintended behaviour by the Auto-Brightness feature. I do not like the Auto-Brightness feature. It makes it significantly harder for me to work. Thankfully, previously made posts here in the community helped me disable it from everywhere in my laptop. Normally, disabling it is working fine but when i activate the HP Privacy Screen Feature (which lowers your brightness even further to prevent people sitting next to you from seeing the contents of your screen), the Auto-Brightness feature reactivates. This is frustrating, as I sit somewhat close to a window and even someone slowly passing by causes my laptops brightness to automatically dim and then go up when the person blocks the sunlight momentarily.
I have updated my drivers, my BIOS, searched online. There is no mention of the Auto-Brightness feature and the Privacy Screen feature being linked. Yet I can 100% see the Auto-Brightness kick in if I turn on my cellphone torch at the top of my laptops screen where the camera and the sensors are, when using privacy screen in a dark room.
Im not sure if this is intended or a bug. Any advice on how to resolve this will be highly appreciated.
