I have a HP SK-3350 fingerprint reader that I purchased from eBay and was assured that it would work with my windows 10 laptop. I cant seem to get it to recognise it in windows 10. I downloaded the driver on the HP website, restarted my laptop and then tested it. Still couldn't get it to work. I was advised by the eBay seller that the driver I needed was AES2501B but I couldn't find a working version, this so I resorted to the HP one:
(HP USB Fingerprint Mouse Fingerprint Driver
V5.5.10.1106 Rev.C 23.5 MB Sep 19, 2019)
If anyone knows how to get it to work then that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I had the same problem (I suspect I bought from the same seller from ebay - and now really annoyed that they have also dropped the price for these devices!).
If you search "authentec aes2501b" in Google, you should find a listing for the driver on the Microsoft catalogue. You can download the driver (although this appears to only work if you use Edge as your browser), extract the files into folder and then use device manager to update the driver of the fingerprint sensor. Let me know if you need help with the last steps as it assume you know how to use device manager.
It worked for me although I don't know how trust worthy the driver is (should be safe if its coming from Microsoft's own catalogue, right?

Hello!
Thank you for your response to my query. I managed to get this item for £8.50 as an offer but it looks like you must of got it for £14.99! (item number: 265344906148)
The seller guided me on how to do this and downloaded the driver successfully and then activate it on the device. It is working now!
Thank you for your advice!
