HP Spectre Pen

I believe I may have accidentally removed the HP Pen Control app from my computer because it isn't popping up in the search or in my programs. I went to use it and it wouldn't connect. It still wouldn't connect after looking at Bluetooth settings. The only thing I could find online was to install HP Pen Control app and Microsoft has removed the Get button from their store. Go figure. It appears other people have had this problem too and they can't get the software anywhere either. THIS IS NEEDED FOR THE PEN!!! Every forum I have found has broken links and you literally cannot find the software online. This was a $2400 computer just a few years ago so why would you cancel the store?! I've spent 4 hours trying to get my pen to work and I need that software. It's only like 5mb so why would you stop it from helping people?! And no, the winget HP Pen Control command prompt does not work anymore. I already know someone might ask if I changed the battery so please don't insult my intelligence. I need the HP Pen Control app please.

At least for now, we have a solution in place to make it possible to have the HP Pen Control.

HP Pen Control – Executable / App

Download / Save / Install the package

or

Download and execute / run in browser.

The "install" is fast and quickly gone from the screen.

There is no wrapper, for example, there is no window to ask the user to add the installed program to the Desktop (make a shortcut).

That said, all the parts are there.

Open the installed software folder 

C:\Program Files (x86)\ELAN\HP Pen Control

---  ---  ---  ---  ---  ---  ---  ---  ---  ---  ---  --- 

ControlAP.exe  

Double-click opens the app right on the display.

HP Pen Control.exe 

Double-Click opens the app in the Taskbar (then click and open to the display)

Right-Click opens the menus > Pin to Start > More options > Pin to taskbar / send to desktop (shortcut).
