HP Spectre x360 - 13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone!

I bought my HP Spectre not long ago. First weekend when using it, gently pressing on the top of the screen and it cracked! I spent nearly $2400, and HP are asking for over $800 to repair the screen essentially stating its my fault so warranty doesn't cover.

I'm a 30 year old engineer who has spent most of his life on a computer and have had a number of different laptops. This is not my fault so I'm rather annoyed.  I've got the touch screen disabled now as I cant use the laptop anymore. It just isn't worth fixing so I just threw away so much money on a faulty product.

Has anyone else had similar issues with this laptop?

@Kieren I understand your concern and I will bring your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

Although, I'll need some private information from you in order to create a case for you.

Please look for a private message requesting additional information.

Keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers, case details, etc...).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
