Hey guys looking to connect my laptop to a Dell 49" Ultrawide
The dell has a max resolution at 5120 x 1440p @60hz , how can I upscale my laptop to achieve this resolution ?
What would be the max I could achieve just by connecting via USB C ? 3840 x 2160 ? ( which is the standard resolution I'm running now
Any advice appreciated

Hello @SpectreNut,
What means are you using to achieve the connection? A simple USB-C cable? What brand? I need more information.
Technically, a Thunderbolt 3 connection should support 5K. Also, just to make sure, you've tried changing the monitor resolution settings in Display Settings, correct?
Also, when you're connecting it through USB-C, can you make sure to plug it into the leftmost USB-C port shown in the image below? Only one is a Thunderbolt 3 port.

Hello @SpectreNut,
Can you head here and install the monitor firmware update and monitor driver?
Also, update your laptop's drivers using the page here or use HP Support Assistant to automatically install any updates. In case you don't already have it, here is the download page for HP Support Assistant.
Once all of that is installed, restart your laptop and reattempt the connection while monitoring the Display Settings page in Settings.
