So recently I changed the battery to my laptop, new speakers, new audio board, and SD board. All is working well. However, sometimes my computer will not charge or turn on. I have to go in and disconnect the battery. Once I disconnect it, I am able to plug it back in, put it all together and turn it on... I am not sure what the problem is. I checked the system using HP scan and the battery and all components are working fine. I just have to disconnect the battery, and reconnect it every once in a while in order for it to turn on. When it doesn't turn it also i try connecting the DC Jack to charge it and it won't even turn red. I have to completely disconnect the battery and reconnect it. Could the DC input be going bad? If it was the battery I think it would be obvious. I am not sure. Bios is update, all software is up to date. I am lost. I have a new USB Board on the way because i wonder if there is something wrong with the USB Board where the power on button is. I also have a new DC input coming in and I will be replacing it. I am not sure what the problem could be. Any suggestions?

Hi @chinoloc916

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing charging-related issues on your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

May I know from when are you facing this issue?

Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?

May I know what happens when you try to connect an alternate AC adapter? Do you face the same issue?

Also, may I know from where did you get all the parts replaced?

Try checking your system with an alternate adapter and let me know the outcome.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

So, every time this would happen, I would have to connect and reconnect the battery. I would use the computer normally. If i had to shut the screen, I would and use the computer later. Sometimes the computer would not turn on after or it would not even charge as if it was causing a short circuit. I ended up fixing it. I replaced the AC charger connector and the USB board that has the power button on it. I had to take the entire laptop apart just to replace those two. So far things are working, let's hope it stays that way and it's not a bad battery.
