I have an HP Spectre x360 - 15-bl152nr with SN [Personal Information Removed]. I recently replaced the battery with a new, non authentic option because the original was starting to swell and had poor life. During this repair I also removed all components except the motherboard (including the display) to replace the keyboard. Upon completion of the repair, the PC could no longer find the camera and the device tends to shut down randomly, even while plugged into a charger. When I open the camera app, I get the error code: 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached>. Sometimes the device will stay on for long periods of time with no issues, and other times it will shut down within minutes of being powered on again. I have attempted to update drivers and BIOS, but the camera drivers will not install because the PC cannot find the webcam, and the BIOS will not install because the PC is on Windows 11 and the updated BIOS seems to be for Windows 10. I have also tried plugging the original battery back into the laptop to see if this would resolve the issue, but it did not change anything. My next step I’ll be taking will be downgrading back to Windows 10 and trying these updates again. This laptop does not have a camera shutter or on/off switch. Is there anything else that can be causing these problems?
UPDATE: My PC has been on Windows 11 far past the 10 day period allowed for downgrading, so I am unable to go back to Windows 10.
