Product: HP Spectre x360 - 15t-bl100 CTO
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Lost the original pen that came with my HP Spectre x360 15t-bl100 CTO  a few years ago and am looking to get a new one.

 

I've tried my friend's HP active pen G3 with my laptop and while I can get it to connect via Bluetooth, it doesn't function properly with inconsistent input on the touchscreen.

Trying to draw with it on paint leaves a dot or two instead of the line I was trying to draw. The shortcut button does work, but I've been unable to get anything else from it.

 

I've tried re-downloading drivers and updating all pen related software on my device.

 

Is my laptop just incompatible with this pen, all other pens, or do I need to buy an original pen meant for this device?
