HP Spectre x360 Convertible w/HP Active Stylus Pen

I recently got an HP Active Stylus Pen, but my HP Spectre x360 Convertible seems to not recognize it. 

I found this information [https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04960260#7850145c-67f4-4aa6-8c65-ac845150d96b] and updated the firmware as directed-- I am not sure what else to try.    

EDIT: my computer is an HP Spectre x360 - 15-ap012dx

Is your machine in the same series of HP Spectre 15-ap000 x360 Convertible PC ? If yes you can.

It appears that mine is a "HP Spectre x360 - 15-ap012dx."

Your 15-ap012dx is in the same series of ap0xxaa (where xx = 00 to 99 and aa can be from aa to zz) therefore yes, you can apply the software fix.

Note: xx is model code and aa is country/zone/region/market/store code.

Thank you again for your reply; I've actually done the software update as described, but my computer is still not recognizing the pen.

Are they BOTH on the following compatible table (SAME line):

It NOT, you have to swap to a different pen.

Yes, it is an HP brand active stylus and is listed as compatible.

From ths list, laptop is compatible with part # 773175-001 and/or part # 798051-001 on my loaner which is an HP Spectre x360 15-blxx, it works from day one. But this machine uses part # 905512-002.

Please check battery, switch and apply the following fix
