Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!

HP x360 15.6 IN Ultra HD Touch
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am so glad other people have had similar issues. As a college student, I saved up for a few years for a new laptop. I finally had enough and bought the HP x360.... a week after having my laptop the screen mysteriously cracked in the left-hand corner. It never left my dorm room and sat in a protective laptop case whenever I was not using it. I have only ever used HP laptops and have never had this issue before. The whole reason I bought this laptop was for video and photo editing with the touch screen and tablet mode... but with the cracked screen these features do not work and I actually had to disable the touch screen in order for the laptop to be functioning. I have also been unable to find a screen replacement to repair the laptop. The laptop was shipped off to the Geek Squad and they had it for a few months before sending it back and saying they couldn't do anything. It's so upsetting that I spent almost 2,000 on a laptop that has just been sitting broken in my room and unable to be fixed.

Hi @adobias5,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
