Hello!
My HP Spectre x360, which is meant to be an all in 1, including touch screen, no longer has the firmware for touch screen. It has worked in the past, but stopped working suddenly, I didn't find the need to fix it as I have never needed to use it. However, I now require a device with touch screen. I am 100% sure that this laptop is meant to have touch screen. Does anyone know how I am able to fix this?
Thanks for your time!
UPDATE: Just got this fixed, if your firmware is completely gone it is most likely due to a drive glitch under the ELAN EzTouchFilter, I was able to solve the issue by going into Device Manager,
Then expanding human inter face devices,
From there look for the previously stated ELAN EzTouchFilter,
If you see a yellow triangle, I would suggest right clicking it,
Then click uninstall it, but make sure you also remove the drivers,
After doing this, restart your PC and then from there the problem should be resolved.
Hope this helps!
