Hello all,
I am new here. I bought a HP Spectre x360 Convertible in Oct 2020 as a birthday present for my daughter. Not even a year has passed, we noticed that the laptop was developing some display problems which became more and more frequent. The screen may become blurred or flicker at times. Sometimes part of the screen becomes black. My daughter uses the laptop for university (remote lessons or Python coding). The problem is more acute during video connections or coding (high CPU usage) which is very annoying as this is the time when my daughter needs her laptop to run smoothly. I regret that I did not make contact with HP before the warranty expired a couple of months ago. I run the internal diagnostics, but no issues were identified. I read on these forums that the display cannot be fixed and will require an expensive repair (replacing the display). HP should also look into this issue. Since there are a number of similar complaints, HP should assess if it's a manufacturing or design issue. Can somebody help, please?

Welcome to the HP support community.
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Hi Sandytechy20, it has been one month since your previous answer. Please let me know if you heard back from the HP team. The problem is getting worse by the day. The screen sometimes turns black and the only way to make it work is to restart it. I can consider paying to fix it, although I find it strange that a HP laptop with a price tag of £1,600 would break down less than 1 year after purchase. Please help me.
