Hey!
I bought a 27" Samsung S3 monitor and a USB-C to HDMI adapter for my Spectre notebook.
The monitor is visible on Device Manager, and there is a reaction on the laptop when I plug it in, yet no signal on the monitor. The HDMI cable and adapter work because I could connect my phone to the monitor.
I have tried to re-install drivers, windows is up to date, and no problem with the Thunderbolt (did the port test on UEFI).
However, I managed to get a signal twice in the Intel Graphics Command Center by just randomly right-clicking on the monitor and clicking 'enable'. When I restart the laptop, the signal is lost again.
Is there anything that would/might solve this problem? Clearly it can work, but I have no control when.
Thanks,
Anssi

I figured it out, I think... Apparently, a direct USB-C to HDMI cable does transfer the signal over to the monitor.
I managed to get it to work by ditching the USB-C to HDMI adapter and using this cable that sends the signal directly to the monitor.
