Product: HP Spectre x360 Laptop - 15-eb0043dx

My HP Spectrex360 screen is black, but I can still use the laptop if it's connected to an external monitor. Before the black screen, the computer was accidentally disconnected from the ac adaptor and was not shut down properly, which drained the battery. It also seemed like it may have overheated. Everything appears to work fine except for the black laptop screen. I have tried the recommended diagnostics and even reset the computer to factory settings but to no avail. I have not changed the battery yet because it appears to hold a charge and diagnostics do not indicate it has a problem. Any ideas?
