Hello, my HP Stylus was working perfectly until some days ago. Now it only works on PDF files but I can not use it on Word or Excel. The menu shows the different tips and colors but when I tap them they do not get selected. As if not being tapped. Could this be a Windows Update relate issue?

Sure - could be related to Windows Update.

Windows controls both your file system and can update Office, too.

Settings > Update and Security > View update history

If you have not already done so, Check / Adjust the following

Open Word document

File > Options > Advanced

Section Pen

CHECK box Use pen to select and interact with content by default

Click OK to save change

Double check to be sure the Pen & Windows Ink setup is as you left / want it

Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink

For example, depending on what you like -

CHECK box Let me use my pen as a mouse in some desktop apps

CHECK box Ignore touch input when I'm using my pen

What else?

Check with the Microsoft Community / Office Support .

Why?  Many Windows and Office questions are answered there and yours is likely one of those.

Thank you Dragon-Fur for your response.

I checked on

Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink

For example, depending on what you like -

CHECK box Let me use my pen as a mouse in some desktop apps

CHECK box Ignore touch input when I'm using my pen

I checked them as advised.

I checked File > Options > Advanced

I could not find a PENS or PLUMAS or INK section in it.

Version of Word is

16.0.14026.20202 64 bits

Behavior remains. Tapping or clicking on the ink tools do nothing.

You are welcome.

I only have the one system that includes a pen.

That it works for me proves nothing for you, I think.

Sorry it did not help.

If you have not done so, consider asking at the Microsoft Community / Office support.
