Dear Experts,

After 48 hours of online search and trying out various solutions, i am here to seek help. My HP laptop had inbuilt hp truevision hd which is not working after upgrading to Windows 10.1. While it shows in device manager, it immediately keeps flickering once the camera is enabled through camere app or any other app. Camera app shows for a second no camera installed and then shows available and it goes on same way.

there were suggestions to install Youcam from old forum post here, which I did. But still it's of no use. Kindly help me in solving this.

thanks much for your help & support

Hi @Bansuri

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the Webcam issue.

Please try these steps -

1) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
2) Expand the Imaging Devices.
3) Right-click on the HP Webcam and select Uninstall.
4) Confirm the uninstallation.
5) Restart the computer to reinstall the Webcam driver.

Try updating your computer -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Download and install the BIOS from this link.

Try restoring the software using these steps - HP PCs - Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 10)

Download and install the Cyberlink YouCam Software

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
