Hey, so my tilt 2.0 that I just bought for my computer isn't being recongized whenever I use it. I try to use the HP pen control app, but everytime I use the app it continues as says that it is not compatible with my device. I have the HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop 14-eu0xxx and other people have used the same pen with the same laptop just don't understand what is wrong with my pen/computer.

Hi @SweetBeanss,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

If your HP Tilt 2.0 Pen is not working with your HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop 14-eu0xxx, but the same pen works with other similar laptops, the issue could be related to either the pen itself or the laptop. Here are some troubleshooting steps to identify and resolve the problem:

Troubleshooting Steps:

Check Pen Battery:

  • Ensure that the pen’s battery is properly charged and inserted. If the pen uses a replaceable battery, try replacing it with a new one.

Ensure Pen Pairing:

  • Re-Pair the Pen:
    1. Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
    2. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.
    3. If the pen is listed, remove it by clicking on it and selecting Remove device.
    4. Re-pair the pen by following the manufacturer’s pairing instructions.

Check Pen Settings:

  • Open Pen & Windows Ink Settings:
    1. Go to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink.
    2. Ensure that the settings are configured correctly for the pen.
    3. Check if there are any customization options available for your pen.

Update Drivers:

  • Update Pen and Touch Drivers:
    1. Open Device Manager (right-click Start and select it).
    2. Expand Human Interface Devices and look for HID-compliant pen or similar.
    3. Right-click and select Update driver.
    4. Follow the prompts to search automatically for updated driver software.

Check Windows Updates:

  • Ensure Windows is Up-to-Date:
    1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    2. Click Check for updates and install any available updates.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @SweetBeanss ,

Please find the remaining steps below.

Test Pen Functionality:

  • Test in Different Applications:
    • Open applications like Microsoft OneNote, Paint, or any drawing app to test if the pen works there.
  • Test on a Different Surface:
    • Ensure that the pen is being used on a surface that is compatible with it.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart Laptop and Pen:
    • Restart your laptop and, if possible, turn the pen off and on again to reset connections.

Check for Interference:

  • Remove Interference:
    • Ensure that there are no other Bluetooth devices or electronic devices nearby that might interfere with the pen’s signal.

Run Hardware Diagnostics:

  • HP Hardware Diagnostics:
    1. Restart your laptop and press Esc to open the Startup Menu.
    2. Press F2 to select System Diagnostics.
    3. Run the Quick Test and Extensive Test to check for hardware issues related to the touchscreen or pen functionality.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and potentially resolve the issue with your HP Tilt 2.0 Pen.

If the pen still does not work after these steps, it might be a hardware issue with the laptop or the pen. Contact HP support for further assistance.
