HP Envy x360 Laptop 14-fc0116TU (9X7H9PA)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I have an HP Envy x360 Laptop 14-fc0116TU (9X7H9PA) and an HP Tilt Pen (2MY21AA) that is not working very correctly. The pressure recognition is there, but the tilt doesn't work at all.
I installed Chipset, Graphics, Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices, Network, Bios and ELAN Touch Firmware drivers from the official website. But it didn't help. In Device Manager it shows that the HID-compatible stylus driver is from 2006, but I couldn't find a new driver.
I also couldn't find a driver for the stylus itself.
Does anyone know what the problem is and why the HP Tilt Pen (2MY21AA) does not recognise the tilt angle?

Hi @asdtre,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand how frustrating it is when your HP Tilt Pen (2MY21AA) doesn't fully function with your HP Envy x360 14-fc0116tu, especially after ensuring all drivers are up to date. Let's clarify the compatibility and functionality aspects:

What You Can Try:

  • Remove and re-pair the pen via Bluetooth.
  • Open Device Manager → under Human Interface Devices, right-click the HID-compliant pen → choose Update driverSearch automatically.
  • Go to Windows Settings > Pen & Windows Ink, and check if “Ignore touch input when I’m using my pen” is on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello. Thanks for your reply
I tried what you suggested but nothing worked. The automatic driver search for HID-compliant pen said that the most suitable driver is already installed. Which is very strange because the driver is from 2006
