Hi @AustinAnh ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP True Vision 5MP camera stopped working after a recent Windows update,

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager".
  • Look for the camera under "Imaging devices" or "Cameras". If you see a yellow exclamation mark next to it, there may be a driver issue.

Update Camera Driver:

  • Right-click on the camera in Device Manager and select "Update driver".
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" and let Windows search for the latest driver.

Rollback Driver:

  • If updating the driver doesn't work, you can try rolling back the driver to a previous version.
  • Right-click on the camera in Device Manager, select "Properties", go to the "Driver" tab, and choose "Roll Back Driver" if it's available.

Check Privacy Settings:

  • Sometimes, privacy settings may disable the camera.
  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and make sure "Allow apps to access your camera" is toggled on.

Scan for Hardware Changes:

  • In Device Manager, click on "Action" in the menu bar and select "Scan for hardware changes". This will refresh the device list and may detect the camera if it's not showing up.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Sometimes, Microsoft releases subsequent updates to fix issues caused by previous updates. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any pending updates.

System Restore:

  • If the issue started after a recent Windows update, you can try performing a System Restore to revert your system to a point before the update was installed.
