HP Pavilion Notebook (2015)
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have a 2015 HP Pavilion notebook. I've never had a need to use the webcam. Now I need it for Zoom etc.

When I use zoom/gotomeeting etc the sound works but no vision appears in the video. The white light comes on beside the webcam at the top of the screen. Using the camera function or YouCam I just get a black screen.

I have reinstalled HP Truevision HD and also YouCam but YouCam says it cannot link to HP Truevision HD so I believe the issue is with HP Truevision HD rather than other software or the camera function. Drivers are up-to-date also.

Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this?

Thanks.

@Kermyisgod Welcome to HP Community!

I understand the webcam on your notebook is not working.

I'll do my best to help! To start, please try all of the suggestions in this document: Webcam Troubleshooting (Windows

If that doesn't help, then here is something else you can try, and it should resolve the issue:

1. Go into Device Manager, then Imaging Devices.

2. Right-click on the webcam, and select "uninstall".

3. Restart the computer. This will force the webcam driver to be reinstalled.

Please try all these steps and let me know what happens.
