I just got dual monitors and an HP Universal USB-C Multi-port hub. The hub has a USB-C for my Mac which works, and then it has a Display port and an HDMI port. I plug one HDMI into one monitor and the display port into another. but the monitors mirror each other instead of extending. I've tried using my Dell Windows 11 laptop and it does the same thing and does not recognize the DisplayPort monitor for some reason.

I don't know if this is a software problem or a hardware problem. I wanted the universal dock to switch between Mac for everyday use and Windows for school. This is very annoying and I can't tell why, I thought I did all my research before getting these but now I'm in a panic because the second monitor won't even extend it just mirrors. Even with the main laptop closed it is just a mirror on both screens.
