Hi,

I received my HP ZBook Fury G1i 16 inch with NVIDIA RTX PRO 2000.

I've been trying to make the GPU work with both Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (pre-loaded) and 22.04 LTS. Unfortunately no matter what drivers I install (local/network-based, cuda/open/server) - nvidia-smi can't connect to the driver and I can't make it work. Are there any other drivers/BIOS upgrades or settings I should change to make it work?

May you share more details on how the smi not connecting to nv driver with your preloaded 24.04 OS  ?

I have the same problem. But my OS is Window 11 24H2 release.

1. Latest BIOS updated (X97 Ver. 01.03.02

2. Latest driver from HP updated. Cannot work. Tried the Nvidia App to get the latest version (newer than what HP provide), it also cannot work

3. Tried uninstall driver, reboot computer and then reinstall driver. Cannot work.

Always give error code 43.

=> Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

4. Using device manager to View Event for this NVIDIA GPU in HP ZBOOK G1i 16, it has this error:-

Device PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_2D39&SUBSYS_8E1D103C&REV_A1\C76A175BD22DB04800 had a problem starting.

Is there anyone following up on this problem?
