and HP does NOT have 12-cw1xxx machine, it should be 15-cw1xxx, most likely it is an HP Pavilion 15-cw1xxx machine. From page 2 of the manual, it has one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C (supports data transfer, power delivery, HP Sleep & Charge; left side) port which does NOT support Alt mode therefore you can NOT use it for an external monitor.
