Good evening, I bought the laptop for supposedly very good hardware but the screen disappointed me.
I take photos for eshop and edit them but the colors are slightly washed out. Compared to the screen of the Nikon camera, the screen of my SONY mobile, the screen of the SAMSUNG desktop and the screen of an older HP G62 laptop, the colors do not have the correct fidelity.
I am very disappointed because I chose the laptop for its hardware and the screen which is IPS. For example, I do not see the red color on the screen as in the object. While on the old laptop the G62 looks very good. If the laptop is not a drivers issue I would like to return it. Thank you very much.

I have done all this. There is no improvement. There is a huge frustration in online discussions about panels used by HP. Red and blue do not have the right depth and magenta instead of fuchsia is pink. This panel is rubbish. In the year 2021 it is unacceptable for HP to put such panels with 45% ntsc. From what I searched on the internet the reason is that the panels can not provide 100% of sRGB to keep costs low. I do not want this laptop.
I contacted the dealership in my country and they were trying to justify that the technical features are available Online. It's as if I have to be an expert to buy a laptop that shows the colors correctly. The reason I bought it is mainly the IPS panel for better color performance. I tried everything you said but there is no improvement. Others have a similar problem. Let HP tell us that the panels with 45% ntsc are poor quality. Do not make fun of us.

Yesterday I spoke with HP in my country. They can not do anything because that is the way the monitor is. Because I want it for image editing this model does not. Nice excuse for the useless LG panels that HP puts on its laptops.
