HP laptop getting pink screen on display

I understand how frustrating it must be to see a pink tint on your HP laptop’s display. Let’s go through some HP-specific troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue.

 

1. Check Display Cable Connection

  • If you’re using an external monitor, ensure the HDMI/DisplayPort cable is securely connected.
  • If the issue persists on the built-in laptop screen, gently press around the edges of the display to check for loose connections.

2. Reset Graphics Drivers

  • Press Shift + Ctrl + Windows + B to reset the graphics driver.
  • Your screen will briefly flicker—check if the pink tint disappears.

3. Update Graphics Drivers

  • Visit the HP Support page for your laptop model.
  • Download and install the latest graphics driver (Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD).

4. Adjust Color Settings

  • Right-click on the desktopDisplay settings.
  • Scroll down and click Advanced display settings.
  • Ensure the color profile is set correctly.

5. Disable Color Filters

  • Open SettingsEase of AccessColor Filters.
  • Turn off any applied color filters.

6. Test with an External Monitor

  • Connect your laptop to an external display.
  • If the external monitor does not show a pink tint, the issue may be with the laptop screen hardware.
