HP monitor flickers between normal display and vertical lines or blank screen

Please help me understand this issue:

HP monitor flickers between normal display and vertical lines when I'm not active with mouse or keyboard strokes?

I checked on different sources - not PC desktop or laptop video cards - they work on other monitor too

I checked VCA versus HDMI input for source - and it does this regardless

It doesn't seem to have a pattern of time interval either?

I installed the latest drivers and HP source optimizer - still does it?

PLEASE HELP!!!

3) Enter the serial of your device. 

4) Select the country from the drop-down. 

5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences.
