The link you provided did not offer much help. My active stylus is SPEN-HP02. I have changed its battery and have confirmed it to be workingwith a different laptop, but not with the one it originally came with, which is HP spectre x2 12C025tu.

@supernoob I suggest you try a BIOS recovery and check if that works,

Hi! I have followed the instruction to the letter and I have successfully created a USB BIOS recovery drive, However, after shut down, when I press windows key + B + power, a black screen appears and says that HP BIOS files not found.
