Having trouble connecting my dual 14 inch type c monitors (display usb-c) to my hp model 14-dq0040nr laptop (hdmi source), I’ve successfully connected one monitor with the HDMI to usb-c cord provided with the monitors but the manufacturer only provided one cable that comes with monitors, i bought a hdmi splitter since my laptop only has one hdmi to try and split displays to other monitor with another hdmi to usbc cord with no luck, i really need help with this only one display is working ill send link at bottom of both of my products thanks in advance someone told me to get a active cable and another person mentioned a dock station or something im lost and really need help with this

Firstly HDMI splitter is a joke therefore I won't say anything more. The specs of your machine is
It ONLY has 1 hopeless SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
Other option (USB-A dock) : https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05357751
